The bad news is, that means he's ineligible to play with us year, at least until the RRC season is over. Good luck Dan. Hopefully we'll see you at the practice gym and back on the court in the spring.

Hey all, In some ways it's disappointing to finish be *that* close to winning it, and not quite make it. But at the same time, the Frozen Nutz are a really solid team. Given that they have lost only one game over the past two seasons, I think we did a great job to take them to OT, and have a shot to come out with it in the end. Great job guys, and great season. Hopefully everyone is back, and we can win the division next year.

I had my first feature request this week when Andrew asked if we could get season Win/Loss records added to the Team Statistics page. So I obliged him and you can now see what our record was for each season and our overall lifetime record and winning percentage. We're actually 10 games above .500 over the 6 seasons since I started recording stats. Not too shabby.

The 2007-2008 season will be kicking off soon. The league meeting is this Thursday (Sept 6) at the UofW and I will be attending. We are trying to organize some pickup games at the South Y on Sunday mornings until we get our gym. The application for the gym is in, by the way - thanks to Andrew for that. Once I have the gym schedule and the game schedule they will be posted here. We are also looking for a couple of additional players. We have some people in mind, but if you know of anybody looking to play that you think might be a good fit, speak up! Let's try not to get anybody kicked out of the league this year, alright? :-P

We now have a practice gym. Monday nights at Grant Park High School from 8:30 to 10:30. Also, the schedule for the first 2 games (one of which we already played) is up. I'll update the site as soon as we receive the remainder of the first half schedule.

Hi guys, the 2006-2007 season is starting soon. Rosters have to be in by September 22 and money has to be in by September 29. Andrew will be sending an email out shortly about getting together to get the registration filled out and the money in.
Also, in case you were not aware, we will not have Damian with us this year, due to his new status as the father of twin boys (congrats Damian!). Derek has also declared himself unavailable. So we are looking for a couple of guys to round out the roster.

Andrew was nice enough to get the league to fax us the score sheet for that abysmal loss to the Rocafellas in November, so all the stats are now up to date. Enjoy, bitches.

Another day, another victory. Wow, its amazing how smooth things have been running without Jason and his ball-hogging bringing down the team :-) Just kidding Jason, wish we had you back for the final.
In the final we are up against the Swisher Kings. We played them twice, and split the series (with our loss coming in double OT). Here is our chance to have Rods last season end in style.

Congrats guys on a great win. Carried by the offense of Derek, Diesel and Carey we managed to come back from about 15 down to win it in OT.
According to the bracket currently on the wesmen site, this win advances us to the semi-finals, where we will be playing the Kareem Bros next. Skyhigh and Kareem Bros were the only teams we did not beat in the regular season, so we may as well take them out early.

Well boys, it's time for another season. I just finished prepping the site for the new season - the season stats section is broken, but I'll either fix that soon, or it'll fix itself after I enter stats from our first game.
Other than that, let's dominate this year.

I had to mess with the stats for our last game versus Skyhigh. That had me marked down for 2 field goals in the first half and Corey for none. I only remember hitting one basket in the first and I remember Cory hitting a jump shot with me standing right by him, so they must have given it to me. I gave it back to Cory.
I also gave Barry his 3 that he hit at the end of the game. They didn't give a 3 to anyone else in the second half, so I didn't take anything away from anybody else. As such, the final score according to the stats was 71-40 for us. I don't know if they didn't count that 3 by mistake or if they messed up somewhere else.

As of today I added game summaries to the game detail pages. The game summary simply shows the 1st and 2nd half scores along with the final score.
Also new today is the quick info block on the right hand side of the page. It just quickly displays our record, our next game, our last game, and our current season scoring leader.
I also created this news page and made it the homepage of the site. You guys can comment on any of the news I post here by clicking on the Comments link at the bottom of the story.

Welcome to the official website for Gravity Bound for the 2003-2004 season. Hopefully by the end of the season I'll have turned this in to a permanent home for our team. I'd love to track career stats for our players, assuming we are all going to stick around for a few years. I still have all of last years stats that I can plug in. I hope you all enjoy the site!
